A visit to Pune is incomplete without the bakarwadi from Chitale Bandhu yes you got it right, this is a new store at camp serving the age old tradition, the bakarwadi had a fresh packing to be consumed within 15 days and a package for month long store, I got each of this as am a big fan of savoury

I'm a huge fan of Chitale Bandhu's Bakarwadi. Every batch is incredibly fresh and perfectly crispy. They have perfected the balance of sweet, spicy, and tangy flavors. You can always count on their products to be of the highest quality. It's a taste I crave and one that keeps me coming back every time.

Chitale Bandhu has opened another branch in Camp opposite Aurora Towers. It is a brightly lit small L-shaped interior that looks spare with display cases filled with their excellent mithai of all kinds. There are also a variety of savory items for sale. Packaged salted items famous in India are tempting. I bought seven pieces of mithai: two pieces of malai barfi (impossible to buy just one),ladoo, kaju katli, malai and kesar peda, kaju badan roll. Then I took one samosa and matar karonji for Raju, our chowkidar (watchman). I rarely buy a box because I have little self control and here I would be in trouble as the mithai is very tasty. One customer was enjoying a treat.
